Facts about Österlenbyn
Beautiful nature and proximity to the sea. Two kilometers north of Simrishamn, west of the national road 9, is Tobisborg. The villa area borders north to a holiday home area with many summer houses. The Tobisborgsgarden is situated down by Tommarpsån. At Tobisborgsgården, a departure road goes east to the campsite and Tobisviksbadet.
The spring hall is a powerful sandstone formation that attracts many bathers and nature lovers. The beach north of Vårhallen is partly a dog beach. Here, pastures with shrubs dominate, including stone-like hedges. To the west of Tobisborg is the hiking area Bäckhalladalen, a nature reserve that, not least, geologists are very interested in. Here you will find sub-camel sandstone where you will find beautiful corrugated marks, funnel sinks, icebergs and, not least, parabola views.
There are plenty of water mirrors here. Lövgrodor thrives here and here is also one of Europe's closest stocks of hazelnut. In Bäckhalladalen there are exercise trails and landscaped barbecue areas in several places, which makes the area very popular. Bus service is available in the village.
