Illstorp is located by the highway between Christinehof and island shopping in varied landscapes with fields and forests. Through the area, interesting Verkeån winds that year round offers nature experiences of a rare nature. Here, trout and stone mud thrive and here stalks, barbs and kingfishers nest. The flora is interesting with many different orchid species.
People have lived in the area for a long time. Illstorp says, according to the legend, has got its name from the old Viking chief Ivgul. The buildings are mixed, farms and houses.
