What does the ripple do?

Exhibition. A collision of layers, lines and shapes somewhere between the material and the etheric. What makes the ripples began as a picture or idea of a line, which turns into a circle. The line separating the bottoms from each other. The line that separates the ocean's storages and the ascents of the sky. Yet another horizon to roll over. The horizon is a snake. Ouroboros that bite into the tail and become a black hole forever. The formless disorder that surrounds the ordered world and causes its periodic renewal. And then Gertrude Stein who writes who writes who writes about writing, or something else, maybe the dream?
The seabed dreams. Dunes are slowly formed by small parallel runs, waves and slow currents. Suddenly the surface is rippled, a seabird drops a seashell into the sea. A small plums turning the mirror in circles. Someone tickles the oceanic stomach. A small sea snail, barely visible under the sand. Lost between the splash's solar cats, its winding tracks form a maze for us to follow.
This exhibition is the result of an ongoing dialogue between the artists Jenny Kalliokuljo & Sigrid Sandström. Thoughts about forgetfulness, geological times, other life forms, climate anxiety, translations and interpretations, systematics and randomness. About how unexpected situations suddenly arise and about new works.
