TWO STRONG ARTISTS EXHIBIT THIS HALMLOFT THIS YEAR
This year we present two strong artists. One of them is Ninni Ahlsell, a resident of Österlen, who will return to Hylkegården this year for the sixth year in a row. For the artist Oliver Skifs, who comes from Österhaninge outside Stockholm, this is his first time exhibiting in Skåne and during the art round in Österlen.
June 27 - July 4 daily 11-18
Born 1973 in Gothenburg. Moved to Österlen in 1980. Chose art after a 3-year humanities line in high school. Attended 3 different art schools in Skåne and Copenhagen, and attended apprenticeship at Pontus Thunander's conservator's studio. Has lived in Vaxholm since 2002 and since a few months moved home to Österlen again where Ninni now also has his studio.
She finds her inspiration a bit everywhere in everyday life, which then expresses itself in colorful paintings, furniture. lamps and jewelry. Has exhibited continuously and runs a decoration and gilding company since 1998 and is a royal court supplier within this.
Oliver, born in 1988, works with a variety of artistic expressions, everything from costume design for theater and film to portrait paintings.
Through his interest in the Middle Ages, fantasy and "laziness", he has for many years designed and manufactured masks and armor to order for customers all over the world. He is self-taught but has on several occasions held courses in his specialty of leather crafts, as well as in color theory and concept design at various art schools.
Oliver's other great interest, music, often inspires the motifs in his art, and then often in leather, which he is quite alone with.
However, you notice the fascination for different techniques where he works with acrylic, charcoal and various sculptural materials, preferably in combination with his leather motifs.
This gives a certain 3D effect and makes his paintings unique and exciting.
Of course, we will follow the recommendations issued by FHM to carry out the exhibition in a safe way for you and us and we ask you to respect that only a limited number can stay in the room at a time. Hand alcohol is available. Stay home if you feel sick. Wash your hands often. Keep your distance physically but not socially .
