Course in hobo handicraft
12 Sep at 10:00 - 13:00300 SEK
Hobo craft, or wire craft, is a simple form of metal craft where metal wire is bent, bent, twisted and tied together into various simple objects. After the industrial revolution in the 1800th century, steel wire became a cheap and easily accessible commodity, something that itinerant vagrants soon discovered. Anyone who had a little sense of proportions, strong pinches and a pair of pliers could earn their living by making everything from baskets to carrot coasters, bread nuggets and whisks in steel wire. You did not need a workshop, you could, as it were, "have it in your pocket". Thread handicraft became an art form that eventually came to be called hobo handicraft, because so many vagrants became skilled in that art. But it is still popular today and now you have the chance to learn the basics of how it works.
