DNA café for genealogy
14 at XNUM: XNUM - 14:00Free
The genealogist Niklas Hertzman, from the company Archive Digital, talks about DNA testing as a method to search for and find unknown relatives. Using DNA testing, which is done with a simple topping, one can verify their paper research, find their father unknown, connect with relatives worldwide and map the family beyond written sources. Niklas Hertzman's interest in genealogy was already aroused during high school in Ystad and he now has 30 years of experience in the subject.
Experienced DNA genealogists are on site during the day and help with tapping for free. They bring with them test kits from the company Family Tree DNA and also help with registration of the DNA test as well as how it is possible to pay for registration and test results, which is done via the Internet. The price depends on which test you take and how much information you want to get. If you want to send your test away, postage to the USA (max 50 g) and a "Prioritaire" decal apply. Keep in mind that you have to make the order and pay on site and your bank card must make international payments. The unlocking of a bank / debit card for international transactions must have taken place before the payment date. Contact your bank / card company in advance so that everything works when you register your new DNA kit. For more information on prices and to order your own test kit go to https://www.familytreedna.com/ It takes about 1 month to bring home a test kit in the mailbox.
