Then the bohus fishermen came to Simrishamn
24 Oct at 14:00 - 16:00100 SEK
During World War II, fishermen on the West Coast were hit hard. The war touched the Swedish west coast archipelago and Swedish fishermen often ended up in the middle of the war, sometimes they were victims but they could also be a helping hand. In the film, some Donsö fishermen tell what they remember from that time. During the first years of the 1940s, many of the Bohus fishermen took refuge in the east coast and Simrishamn instead. Here the situation was calmer. Some of them also stayed and started families here. This may also take place in the film which is produced by Christer Karlsson with a grant from the Donsö Foundation. Christer is on site and tells about and shows the film "Donsö - part of the Second World War". In collaboration with the Association for Antiquities and Homeland Care in south-eastern Skåne.
