In the weekend's 4 division in table tennis between IF Ale and Tomelilla AIS, the home team was coached by 13-year-old Hannes Lidén Isaksson. With his calm and clear leadership, he contributed to a stable 8-2 victory for Ale.
Hannes has played table tennis since he was 6 years old and has played both the Swedish top 12 and the youth championships. But now he had the role of coach. Ales player Anders Andersson played an even match against Tomelilla's Mensur Avdullahu.
- Good job, think of the server, Hannes calls from one corner of the small hall in Kåseberga where two table tennis tables are set up.
The windows in the hall are covered to remove reflections from the sunlight and the worn parquet floor creaks and fails as the players' quick feet move around the tables. Avdullahu was picking up a lead when Hannes took a tactical time out to get Andersson in balance.
"Take it easy now and no carelessness," Hannes said, turning his eyes to his considerably older teammate!

IF Ale was finally able to win the match in division 4 south with a reassuring 8-2. Tomelilla's two victories were taken by Stefan Hallgren who played a lot of table tennis as a young man. But at the age of 22, he took a break. In 25 years!

- When my son Nils became interested I started playing again. We train together two times a week in Tomelilla, says Stefan Hallgren, who is currently ranked in level 4 of the total 7 levels in which the Swedish table tennis players are divided into.

After four rounds, Tomelilla is in fifth place and Ale has a series lead with her third place. The results from Saturday's match (source Swedish Table Tennis Association).
